Extra Life 2017 LAN Announcement

FCG Extra Life 2017 LAN Announcement
We’re super excited to announce that for the first time since 2012 Full Clip Gaming will be hosting a LAN party in St. Louis this November! We’re on a mission to help sick and injured kids in St. Louis and we need your help. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their illness, injury or even their family’s ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries they may get from just being a kid.

To help raise funds and awareness for these sick and injured kids, we’re participating in this huge worldwide movement called Extra Life. Gamers of all kinds pledge to play everything from video games to board games and tabletop RPG’s for 24 hours!

This is our first LAN benefitting the Children’s Miracle Network, and we need your help! If you are a gamer of any kind (seriously! Any kind!), and want to give back to our community – On November 4th, pack up your computer and tabletop games and Join us at The Den in downtown St. Louis on November 4th for 24 hours of gaming. Doors will open at 7:00 am and gaming will commence at 8:00 am.

Here’s how it works: Each participant must register an account with Extra Life and join our team. Upon registering your account you will choose one of the 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals that you wish to support. The money you raise will go directly to your chosen hospital as unrestricted funds. Our team goal is to raise a minimum of $2,000 – although I think we can do much better than that! There is no charge to attend this event, however, your personal fundraising goal is suggested to be $50. Once your Extra Life profile is created, they will provide you with a link to promote the charity and ask friends and family for pledges.

Questions? Take a look at Extra Life’s FAQ.

We have secured an amazing location for the 2017 Extra Life LAN! This years LAN will be located at TheDen (711 N 13th St, St. Louis, MO 63103). This 8k square foot facility has been generously donated to us for our event by The Den’s owner (http://thedenstl.com/). As mentioned in the video, if you get tired of playing video games (unlikely :P) there are several other physical activities that still count towards the 24 hours of gaming such as a golf simulator, Bocce Ball, Pool & ping pong!

Stay tuned for more details about this event!

New Server – Counter Strike: Global Offensive

For those of you that do not already know, before we were FCG we went by another name. That name was CS-Purgatory. If you haven’t already guessed, the “CS” was short for “Counter Strike”. Arguably one of the most popular first person shooters of all time. Do you know what our old community hosted? You guessed it! Counter Strike servers! After a six year run, we shut down our last server due to player inactivity (at that time the game was 12 years old and had run it’s course). It was a sad day for all of us.

Today, I am VERY excited to share the news with you that we are currently hosting the next generation of Counter Strike – “Counter Strike: Global Offensive”. We have only one server as a trial for the time being but plan to grow to the same size as CSP was in it’s hay day. For those of you out there that have been blessed by the Valve gods and received a beta key – The server is up! Lets get our frag on! …For those that have not yet been so lucky to have received a beta CS:GO key – DON’T GIVE UP! Valve has upped the handout of new keys ten fold. FCG is also in the workings of having a community CS:GO beta key raffle (more on that as information from Valve is received).

FCG is proud to announce the new CS:GO server to our fleet of already popular BF3 servers. Keep in mind that both the CS:GO client and server are in beta mode, and as FCG helps in the detection and reporting of bugs/glitches/crashes, there is still a long road before the code is stable. If you happen to be on the new CS:GO server, and it crashes – Please note the time/map/player count/etc… and report it to our forums so that we can in return report the crash data to our GSP and Valve.

WE WANT YOU …. to join our admin team!

It’s no surprise that Full Clip Gaming is growing at a fast rate. We provide a fun (and fair) place for gamers from all over the world to play. Our servers are top-notch in performance and so are our administrators. We are currently looking to expand our admin team to provide a closer relationship with fellow gamers and community members.

Your Application: In order to even qualify for an admin role, you must meet the following requirements:

– You must be a member of our Battlelog Platoon
– You must have logged a minimum of 24 hours on an FCG server
– You must live in the United States or Canada
– You must be at least 18 years of age or older
– You must be active on both our website forums and teamspeak server

Note: If you have previous admin experience, it would be beneficial for you to post the name of the other community / clan that you have been a part of.

Why so many requirements?: It may seem like we have a lot of requirements to even be considered for admin, however there are many reasons for this. We pride ourselves on our ability to make sound decisions and treat our server patrons with respect every time they connect to one of our servers. Unlike other communities, we do not charge for admin access. Admin access is only given to those that are dedicated to our cause and are active in our community.
